Smoking Weed And Working Out
A hot topic as of late is weather smoking weed and working out is a good idea. Over the last 15 years working out, fitness and health has exploded. The Industry is huge and why wouldn’t it be. Being healthy and fit should be everyone’s main goal amongst others of course.
Definitely depends on how weed effects you personally. If you’re a recreational daily smoker then maybe you can get away with it. If you smoke a few times a week I would definitely make sure 10000% that you can handle it.
Marijuana, for some users definitely slows down the mind and body. It can also make your work rate slow down. Zoning out will happen. Overall your mind and body may go into a lazy state where you dont want to do anything.
It also depends on what type of marijuana you’re smoking. Indica of course as we all know is the strain to knock you completely out and most likely pass out. However Sativa is the type that gives you energy and boost. For some more experienced smokers Sativa is what they would use before the gym.
I once smoked NYC Diesel, a powerful Sativa, before hitting the gym and I was High! The first 15-20 mins i was focused and ready to lift some weights. I noticed that the regular weight I use was feeling a little heavier. I zoned out a few times forgetting which set I was on and after 20 minutes I stopped caring about the workout and would much rather not be there.
Again, everyone reacts to marijuana differently. Your experience maybe a lot different then mine was. I believe running and high intense workout is out of the question. Lifting weights and building muscle can be useful.
